Its funny how much people dislike Tim Tebow. I can never find myself being a fan of his, since he is a Gator, and he is not a Packers. if he was a Packer, I could forgive him. But, I can not hate on him. it is the media that drives the whole religion angle. Really, it is. They ask him, and egg him on it. They cut to shots of him praying, by himself. And then they spend 20 hours talking about him. But, what does Tim Tebow do? He credits his teammate, he works his butt off, and lives a good life. As far as we all know, he hasn't hurt anyone. All the accounts you read, and hear about him, is about what a great guy he is. So why hate on him? It is atheists that hate on him for being a Christian? Then that is your problem, I haven't heard him say that he hates you. Lets think now, would we want our kids to grow up to be like Tebow, a guy that doesn't get in trouble, works his butt off, and gives it his best every time. Or would we want our kid to be a like Chris Henry? You may say those are extreme. But those are, or were real people. I am not rooting for Tebow to win against the Patriots, okay I am, because it is the Patriots, and only NE people like them. But I can safely say I will never be a fan of his, I will never hate on a guy that gives it his all on the field, is not a glory hog, and stands for what he believes. whether that makes him less popular or not. The media is the one over exposing him. I haven't heard about him calling a press conferences, or starting is stupid ass reality tv shows. He goes about his business. And then the media covers him 24/7. What can he do? Anyways, best of luck to the Broncos the rest of the way. Would love for them to beat the Patriots, but I highly doubt it, unless.......unless.....there is Tebow magic. Until next time guys, I love you all.

The Tebow hate.Congrats to those that do not "Hate the Player". TT is a person/athlete/man that is worthy of being someone that should be a "Role Model --- Athlete" in society, but is demonized for his beliefs.....that he truely believes in. Wow what a concept ... practice what you preach/demonstrate on a daily basis. I know people that know TT and his family, they ALL believe and demonstrate their belief/faith/humanity/decency to all. Get off of the mans case and look within your own selves to improve your own life ... it is easy to cast stones at those that you wish you could emulate, here is a novel idea ... let your hatred go and embrace daily life

The Tebow hate.Great blog, Horse. I agree with you 100%. In fact TT and the Broncos turn down most interview requests, even from those in Denver. You're right, it's the non Christian sector that is fueling the hatred for what seems like a fine young man. I would also blame ESPN for the problem. TT gets more airtime on that network than any other QB in the league. See what's wrong with that picture? Saints fans start to get annoyed, Packer fans get annoyed, Patsie fans get annoyed, heck everyone but Denver fans get annoyed and that's when things get ugly. I got a chance to catch a little of First Take today, and Skip Bayless is STILL talking about him. We are in the midst of one of the better playoff seasons in current memory, and ESPn is talking about a player that is no longer in them. I think that is why there is so much "hating" going on. Fans are tired of hearing about a below average QB, when there are plenty of superstars out there that have earned the attention. Good read, it's why you are one of my favorite posters on these threads. Dee

The Tebow hate.thank you for the reply Eugene. I just think that is so funny, all attention he gets, which he doesn't ask for, and yet he is hated for. he can't win, but he can lose. All I ever heard from him, is him being humble. And people talk about him craming his religion down people's throat, but I don't see it. The media ask hm questions that they know will bring up religion.

The Tebow hate.If there is anyone that could be hating on Tim Tebow right about now it is me because him and his Denver Broncos eliminated my Pittsburgh Steelers from the postseason on Sunday. However, I am not going to hate on him and don't hate him in general.

Tim Tebow not only lives right but is not a hypocrite in his beliefs unlike some of our wonderful elected offcials on both sides of the aisle who portray the loving family image for the cameras but when the cameras go away they go and cheat on their spouses. It is also the media that while villifying makes in an instant a celebrity out of anybody who "accidentally" releases a sex tape of themselves. And it is the same media that rewards bad behavior and gives "street cred" to certain musicians that have an arrest record a mile long. Would love for them to beat the Patriots, but I highly doubt it, unless.......unless.....there is Tebow magic.With my Steelers out of the way I would love to see the Denver Broncos with Tim Tebow at the helm win the Super Bowl so that the media can go and choke on their own venomous hatred of him. |
